The Ballroom Thieves - Band Session

It was a few years ago. Drew told me I needed to watch an Audiotree session of a band called The Ballroom Thieves. I have a problem with finding new music, in that I don't. I have trouble dipping my toes into the murky waters of the unknown. People recommend artists to me, but usually the width and breadth of their existing discography overwhelms me. I just can't do it.  If it weren't for Drew's recommendations, I would be stuck listening to the same four albums for the rest of my life. Bless him.

And anyway, I loved it, - their music, that is-  right from the start. It's a rare thing for a group of musicians to hook me. You know what I mean. When what they create seems to become its own entity that reaches out, and grabs you by the heart. It was like that. (If that didn't sound like a was.)

And another thing, I couldn't help but think to myself, "I want to take photos of these people someday." It was random, but I made a goal to just reach out and ask them the next time they were heading to my neck of the woods. A few years later, and this the second time I've been able to make photos with their faces.
